FAQ: Tenfold Dungeon - Modular Dungeon Crawling Terrain

Will Stretch Goals be tailored to each Tenfold Design?

Each Tenfold Design and its complements (like walls, stairs and whatever other additions we may unlock) will be tailored to the same theme. So far the only design that will be shared are the generic designs of our doors, frames and clips.

The sci-fi facility set has its own design of walls and doors.

What are the dimensions of the boxes?

All the boxes have different sizes according to the design-to-fit. But we wanted the outside box to be the same for all of them in this campaign. The dimensions of the box once the Tenfold is folded is L370xD300xH120mm

The height in all rooms is common and measures 60mm except for the corridors which are 40mm height to help with visibility during play.

We have designed Tenfold Dungeon to fit in large rucksacks, the average tote bag and of course your favourite Swedish bookshelves!

Info on the grid?

We have chosen a fairly standard grid of 1”by 1” which is traditional to play D&D, Pathfinder and most other systems using 30mm grids.

Tenfold Ideas

We have played with the TFD system for many months and interesting uses and ideas have popped up during the many hours of development. Here is a list:

Use both sides- we have printed a grid in the outside so you can also use the boxes for elevated positions for your minis. Insert upside-down boxes inside large rooms to create chambers or blockades to generate ambushes and interesting adventure twists.

Sliding walls - once the rooms and doors are set up, think about sliding the corridors sideways as part of a “moving” cursed dungeon!

Secret doors - use the door frame without the panel to create a secret door (this will highlight the wall illustration on the cardboard to mark hidden entrances!)

Trapdoors - place trapdoors in rooms leading to other rooms that aren’t connected via plastic door-clips. You can create a passageway to the Dungeons and Swers from the Castle!

Barebones - use the boxes provided in the Bare-bones Add On to generate elevations and detached “door-less” rooms. Bare bones pledges are an ideal to get more rooms cheaply to make towers, or use the corridors and gangways for wargames!

If I get multiple sets, can I use them together?

Yes! All the room ranges use the same sets of dimensions, so you can mix and match room designs from different TFD sets to create wild and varied dungeons unique to your game.

Furthermore, if you’ve bought multiple sets, you’ll have more than enough doors to link big, sprawling dungeon floors together.

What is the scale used in TFD?

We have made all the TFD sets in the same scale for full compatibility. In this case, we have chosen the 28-32mm scale (1/56th) as it seems to be the most popular among miniature gamers and RPG players.

Do I need to cut this out from flat sheets, or fold it together like other paper RPG products?

Nope! Tenfold Dungeon sets will be usuable right out of the box, with everything ready to be set up as you see in our videos and animations. No need for folding, cutting, sticking, or slotting paper tabs into one another. Just unbox and play!

Note that certain complements like the stairs come in punchboards and may require clipping/slotting in.

How durable is Tenfold Dungeon?

We’ve chosen only the best materials and suppliers in terms of quality and cost for Tenfold Dungeon. As long as you store it away properly, the hard cardstock TFD is made from will ensure your sets last for years of play before showing major signs of wear and tear.

Additionally, we have ensured that the corners will be reinforced during manufacturing - a piece is glued alongside the corner before the illustration sheet is glued on top.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
