Some more TFD production updates
– Wed, Feb 12, 2020 at 03:57:25 PM
Hi all TFD backers
It seems like factory workers in China might be let back to work in Mid-march (assessment by or manufacturer) and with that we can commence the manufacturing of first card board components and then plastics for TFD. As they had pretty much prepared and ready before CYN and the Corona Virus outbreak it possibly might not be as badly affected by that as many KS will be. We keep our fingers crossed, of course this is highly dependant on how the treatment and spread of the virus goes in general and the simple fact that peoples lives goes before manufacturing items. This is something you no doubt will see on the news, just trying to access it for TFD-project.
On a separate note we will prepare TFD for potential retail sales later by blister packing Doors, Clips & Torches, Portals and such items that will form separate products while in general TFD will be sold as the bare bones (IE just the Dungeon) to get an attractive retail price. This will not affect what you will be getting but will mean they come in separate packages rather than stored in the Dungeon boxes.
Cheers

More factory updates
– Tue, Jan 21, 2020 at 02:24:47 AM
Hi TFD backers
Before they on CNY (Chines New year holiday) the factory has finished the Cardboard parts of the Dungeons and the samples on their way here:
The factory also have started work on the plastic components (doors, clips and so on) and reports seem good with difference from making miniatures that these have to be functional and repeatedly tested.
We will do a new update when the samples land here, possibly next week.
Cheers

TFD Production update
– Fri, Dec 27, 2019 at 09:34:13 PM
Hi All TFD backers. Meery Christmas and a Happy New Year!
This update will specify the the production timings as much as the factory can predict them:
"printing components
Making printing plate files: 5 days after we receive all the design files.
making samples before mass production: 7-10 days after you approve all the printing plate files
mass production time: 45 days
inspection: 3-4 days
final assembling: 5-6 days
The time line listed above is based on normal period, now the time is near Chinese new year. Factory without production capacity for almost 1 month.
Thus, the final finished time will be 1 month later than normal period. I am not sure when we can get all the design files. Thus, it is difficult to tell you the
very accurate finished date.
Plastic pieces
modification for STL files: Jan 4th-Jan 8th
Analyze the structure and design the assembly solution: Jan 9th- Jan 14th
Making resin samples: Jan 14th-Jan16th
confirm the modification STL files and resin samples: Jan 17th-Jan 20th
Making PU samples: Feb 4th-Feb7th
Making mold: Feb 8th-Mar 24th
Test the mold and mass production samples: Mar 24th-Apr 3rd
Mass production for plastic pieces: Apr 4th-Apr 23rd
Assembling for plastic pieces: Apr 23rd- May 8th
Final packaging: May 9th-May 18th
inspection: May 19th-May 21st
Start shipping: after May 22nd"
As for the mentioned Design files for printed material they should all be done and if there is anything that needs to be adjusted or added it should within the plastic production time anyway.
As we can see here this indicates a shipping time from China to Fulfilment centres at the end of May. Giving 6-8 weeks from that time until it starts shipping to backers, mid-July. This is of course later than march 2020 which we apologize for. Main reasons for this is that this for components parts, design and production is quite a complex product with added variations and so on and timings for it is hard to predict. We hope you can have the patience as the journey from concept to completion carries on!
Cheers

TFD Dungeon Generator for download
– Thu, Nov 07, 2019 at 12:05:30 AM
Hi all Tenfold Dungeon backers
Sorry for the long silence, its been frantically busy on all fronts but we have not forgot about it. Very much the opposite as our next game, a Dungeon crawler called: Dungeon Adventures: Threat of the Errants uses TFD integrated in its structure and its sort of the game part of the TFD project.
Anyway we now have dowloadable version of the Dungeon Generator for you guys to check out and get a feel for how it works:
Next update we aim to have in two weeks and it will concentrate on production challenges and possibilities. We will also do a video using TFD samples that we have here to show it used in gaming.
Cheers

Evening backers!
My apologies for the update earlier being devoid of photos!
I will get more than you as soon as I can so you can see how we're progressing, but here are some examples of the furniture we've been happy with returning from the samples - although we still have tweaks to make to improve these further - you can see were working on several door designs, frames and wall clips , including clips that allow you to place boxes upon boxes and so on!
Enjoy! - But tell me - What can we show you or tell you about that you are keen to know more of?
