Good afternoon Dungeoneers!

As you can imagine we are non-stop working on the execution of this fantastic project and I wanted to give you a bit of heads-up on where are we right now:

Tenfold Dungeon Sets

We have now send two of the five sets to the manufacturer to start the tests on the materials and dielines with the final art. This also includes all the STL files for those sets to ensure the procedures and technical details are set for all the sets to come.

We really are pushing this through to manufacture as soon as we can with a high target to have TFD in one way or another at UKGE in June! Certainly in ESSEN SPIEL in October. We will keep you posted on the progress as we know more. And we have the manufacturers coming to visit us in April, so the best chances to ask them all the questions and to sure snap some pics of actual progress!!

THE DUNGEON GENERATOR

I want to thank you for the amount of help and great ideas we have received to design the system for our very own Dungeon Generator. After looking at them all and in the spirit of creating a system to SUPPORT your favourite games and not to substitute them, we have finished the draft of what would be our take on it.

 Dungeon Generator V1 

With the Unexpected Twist cards deck finished and the Blank cards (Dungeon Rooms, Objective Rooms and Unexpected Twists) added to make your TFD sets even more versatile, one of the biggest challenges for the generator is the Events cards.

Event cards are drawn every time a new Dungeon Room (not a Passageway) is discovered. They will add interesting challenges, traps, mini-missions, and encounters (stragglers,  monsters, etc)to the exploration. The challenge creating these, is that we cannot use specific monster encounters (as we don't know which monsters you will be using!) and since Health is observed in different ways in different games (a wound in one game could be almost nothing whereas in other games it could be nasty) the risk/reward and the event itself becomes difficult to imagine/describe/balance.

We have finished the Backerkit Pledge manager and it will go live early next week, probably Monday. First there will be a smoke test for a select number of backers to see if everything is good and once that is done it goes live to everybody. Don't worry you will get plenty of notification one its live.

 Thanks all backers for your support to make Tenfold Dungeon come to life! Both veteran backers from Miremarsh and new "Tenfolders" you have been fantastic! Of course now start the work to prepare the PM and then production. We hope we can get it to you before March 2020, we will see what we can do!

Stargate in PM

Just a quick heads up, that the Stargate (standalone) will be available on the PM, for about £10, funds you can of course add now to your pledge to nudge the campaign in the last exciting minutes.

Crash, Boom, Bang...

We are almost at the end of this incredible journey that has generated a great little range of Tenfold Dungeon System scenarios giving wings for an ever growing collection to explore other environments, other locations. This campaign has also reinforced our relationship with many returning backers that we can call friends of Room 17 Games and brought over many more to our community. Thanks to you all for your commitment, enthusiasm and ideas.

Magic portals were unlocked yesterday and that is a joy! I was writing the rules for them just two days ago and creating the Unexpected Twist cards to incorporate them to any game you want.

There are 4 magic portals (2 blue and 2 red) so you can use them to create connecting portals in the dungeon. These are complete sets (so 4 door frames and 8 magic portal panels) in the same system as the normal doors. These portals will be supplied as a £12 Add On alongside one set of the Double Gate/Portcullis (and of course free in the All In pledge level!) 

We are reaching the £130K with the expected Stargate unlocked. This "door" is a free-standing feature that hopefully will help to marry all the sets we have unlocked so you can go crazy jumping from a rundown castle to a space Facility using the Stargate and the Dungeon Generator which will include the card and rules for it. 

The Big Finale 

We have been thinking a lot about what could be the great finale for this campaign so we were pushing it to offer a free "something" to everyone.

So we have decided to go for a second Miremarsh Exclusive box that expands the Miremarsh Swamp glade. This will generate a "lid-and-base" box ideal to host and send your Add-Ons and spares. Now you will have an expanded forest on one side and a large swampy area on the inside... same illustration in two boxes?... if you think we are going to make the same box twice, YOU DON'T KNOW US YET.

So, if we reach £150,000 by the end of the campaign, every backer will receive one Infested Grove that acts as the base for the Swamp glade KS exclusive lid! A nice advance for the Templetide game coming soon!

Miracles only happen when you wish them and at the end of a KS campaign.

Hi Dungeoneers, here is an update to tell you a bit more about the last Stretch Goals and the campaign so far.

Wooden Doorways

As you all know we have unlocked the wooden doors for The Town. This means that all Tenfold Dungeon Set: The Town will have these wooden doorways instead of the stone doorways that are more suitable for the castle, the temple and the sewers. We thought the Town can still benefit from having one of the Double gates for the Inn or a similarly large building. The All-In pledge still receive two sets of additional doors in total (to choose from Sci-fi and fantasy) but now you can choose between wooden or stone frames!

But fear not, the wooden doorways frames will also be an option to pick and chose as an Add On. So if you want some wooden frames in your Castle, you will be able to get a set of 6 during the Pledge Manager as part of your additional purchases. Same goes if you are pledging for The Town  but still want some of the stone doorways to have a variety.

I imagine most of you are now wondering if we can unlock a new design exclusive fore the Dungeons & Sewers... the answer is ... why not?! Let's see what the end of the campaign brings. As you know, we want each set as themed as possible while bringing as many options to backers as possible.

Torch Clips

Here is to @Leigh and all of you that have make the biggest effort to tweet, tweet and tweet non-stop to make this happen. Now, thanks to you, the Torch-Clips have a new design so you will receive three of each design in your set of 6 for more variety.

Furniture

We have not received final quotes from the manufacturer for this yet, but we have estimated that the cost versus quantity should allow for a £10-£15 per set. The puchboard in which this set will be based is the TFD standard (360x295mm) so we are going to cramp as many pieces of furniture as possible. @Mellekai has send us an email with loads of cool ideas for this. THANKS and an invitation open to you all to do the same. 

Answering some backer's question, we are working on a "furniture" set for The Facility. This will include cargo crates, a re-engineering of the barricades (incorporating a plastic clip for a more 3D effect) and control screens and data-terminals. Any more crazy ideas... please spaceship them this way!

The engineering of this furniture is key to complete the TFD system which we always envisioned as a fully illustrated cardboard and plastic clip/elements product. We want to do this right, for all of you and for the system itself. We will update your regularly on this as the furniture sets are a dear personal challenge for me. The manufacturer has send us the stock and cut intended for the pieces. Notice the angled semi-cut for a perfect and durable fold!

Each set of furniture will have a set of clips injected in plastic to hold the piece after being fold. We are now working on these sculpts and we will update you on this as we receive them!

The Portcullis 

Earlier this week we unlocked the Portcullis side for the double gate. This works the same way as the Locked-door side fore the normal doors. So you have one Double door gateway with two double panels with one side presenting the wooden door and the other with the Portcullis design!

As a reminder and for clarity, each Tenfold Dungeon set will substitute one of the 12 single doors  for a double-door gate/portcullis.

Next Stretch Goal

Now, what's next, I hear you saying?

The next Stretch Goal is the Dungeon Generator Expansion. Working and working with the DGSystem brings a never ending stream of ideas and challenges to overcome. One of the main ones was that I wanted the system to work even if you only have one TFD set. This generated the problem of too few cards to generate your random adventure (as cards are limited by the number of actual boxes you own). Here is where the Random Twist cards came to mind. I'm designing 10-12 cards that brings changes to the rooms you already played, or turns rooms or corridors into ramparts and terraces when you first discover them... etc.  Basically, I'm trying to give more playability to the rooms that you have already placed when you don't have enough rooms to create a 20 cards dungeon.

The Expansion also includes a set of cards with no defined illustration, just the shape of rooms and a generic background so you can either create your own or (if you play with two sets of the same theme) use those to generate them during your game.

Finally, I will include here new Event cards to bring in the rules for new features like the Portcullis, the magic portals and of course... Stargate!

Kickstarter Exclusives

Now I wanted to pass a note on the KS Exclusive products and additions to make sure that every one is on board.

As you may have noticed, several of the products listed on the All In are KS exclusive. These are:

• Miremarsh KS Exclusive box -Only available to buy as Add On during KS. One box per pledge
• Add On Doors (of any type)- Only avail;able to buy as Add On during KS and Pledge Manager
• Add On Torch Clips (and Security Module Clips) - Only available to buy as Add On during KS and Pledge Manager
• Add On Barebones sets (and Skeleton Pledge) - Only available to buy as Add On during KS and Pledge Manager
• Furniture Set (as Add On) - Public will only be able to buy this on their on (as an add on) during the campaign and Pledge Manager. We are still looking into the costs and financials to make them inside the final retail versions of the sets (if we ever make it to the general stores!)
• ALL IN £210 - This will only be available until the end of the campaign. NOT AVAILABLE DURING THE PLEDGE MANAGER OR LATE PLEDGES

If the campaign blasts during the last days, Anders and I  are looking into creating a new open All In for £270 - £280 AFTER THE CAMPAIGN. ONLY AVAILABLE FOR PLEDGE MANAGER.
